Loon is consistently voted one of the top terrain parks in the East and in North America. Check out the new Shaping Shack and two new re-designed parks for 2008-09. The resort invested over $75,000, blasted close to 5,000 cubic yards of rock and ledge and moved more than 10,000 cubic yards of dirt for its in-ground Superpipe. The 400-foot Superpipe is located at the bottom of Loon Mountain Park, between Lower Picked Rock and Picaroon trails. This made way for more terrain features, including more than 40 jibs, around half of them rails, plus funboxes; a second halfpipe, and another whole terrain park, the New Park, located on Lower Northstar. It is designed for those just starting out or honing their skills. There's snowmaking to ensure the parks open as early as possible each winter.
