finnryan Visited: December 2005   Borovets is a great ski resort for beginners. There are lots of easy slopes, but there is enough to keep intermediate skiers and snowboarders occupied for a week as well. Everything is really cheap, especially food and drink. tomsmith85 Visited: March 2009   Borovets was a really good resort for beginners and for accomplished skiers. I went to Borovets with a group of 6 skiers, 4 of which were complete novices. As two of us were accomplished skiers, we decided to teach the other guys whilst we were there. Borovets made this really easy with its variety of easy/intermediate runs on the main mountain. After the first 2 days the 4 novices were up to speed and were happy to explore the rest of the mountain. We did this for the rest of the week and it didnt disapoint. Good off-piste skiing and the pistes were well groomed for the whole day. We were lucky to get fresh snow everyday which obviously made the trip better. The nightlife in Borovets was quiet but we were there at the end of the season... we weren't too bothered about this as we managed to get wrecked pretty much every night anyway! Restaurants are good too... recommend the steakhouse on the main road. All in all, I would recommend Borovets to a group of friends going on their first ski trip together. I dont think its a family resort but good fun for those that are there to have a good ski holiday with beer!!! very good conditions good apres-ski very cheap prices very good overall
