When we arrived in Saalbach the hillsides were green and there was barely a dusting of snow on the trees. Most of the runs looked liked dirty white stains on the mountain side. Not a good start, however when we woke up the next morning about 8" had fallen and it continued to snow all day. This opened about 50% of the resort up almost overnight and also transformed our ski trip.
Plenty of skiing for all abilities, with a nice mixture of runs through the tree lines slopes.
Apres ski was excellent too, with special mention for the 2 for 1 apres ski deals at Bobby's Bar.
I would thoroughly recommend Saalbach too pretty much any group of skiers. Can't wait to go back again when it's 100% open. |
