con Visited: March 2008   Soldeu, is a fantastic place for all degree's of skier, however it is particularly great for beginers and those looking to graduate from blue to red to black. Probably the best thing about the 'el tartar' range is that you can ski any of the resorts from any of the others. IE, you can ski across the whole range and back. Super Cool. Soldeu town is a great place to hang out, nice bars etc, and not to CHAVY which is an accusation that could be levealed at nearby Pasta la casta. The snow was low when we went (the had a metre of snow 2 weeks later, bugger) however they have about 1 trillion snow cannons so even when it's low it's good. The ski skool is allegedly the best in europe, it is blooming well organised and very friendly. The down side is there is now ski in ski out accomadation but apart from that I would say it is really quite good. very good conditions very good apres-ski reasonable prices very good overall

maluspurperia Visited: February 2004   Quite a while ago, I had good holiday as with good friends. Hotel food was good and the duty free status was interesting from a shopping perspective. The hotels were based in the town and the ski slopes were a bus ride away but at least you could leave all your gear in the hire shop at the bottom of the slopes so that was ok. I was a rank beginner at the time and found plenty of skiing and enjoyed ski school. You had to access the slopes via a long chair lift which was nerve wracking for a beginner but I managed it. There could be big queues but they seemed to move quickly. I found the scenery very attractive. I wouldn't knock Andorra as many do but the snow conditions did not seem good when I last considered going back there. very good conditions poor apres-ski cheap prices very good overall
